Privacy

Listening to the free library
You don’t need an account and we don’t set cookies. When you press play we count one play of that recording, as a plain total with nothing about you attached.
- Podcast episodes stream from Spotify’s podcast servers (anchor.fm and its delivery network), which see your device’s internet address, as with any podcast app.
- Videos play from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing loads from YouTube until you press Watch. After that, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies to the video.
If you make an account
- No email address is stored. When you sign in we make a one-way, scrambled fingerprint of your address and find your account by that. Nobody reading our database can see or work out your address.
- Your one-time sign-in code is emailed by Brevo. Only a scrambled copy of the code is kept, for 15 minutes.
- We keep: when the account was made, your sign-in sessions (scrambled), your membership status and the Stripe reference numbers that link it to your payments, and which course sessions you have marked as finished.
- We use this to let you in, to open the members area to you, and to show your progress. The legal basis is our contract with you.
- You can delete your account at any time from the members page, which removes all of this.
Payments
Payments are taken by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe holds your name, email address and payment history, and sends your receipts. We can see these in Stripe when we need to (for example to refund you). Payment records are kept for as long as UK tax law requires.
On your device
Your browser keeps your display choices, the meditations you have saved with the heart, where you got to in each recording, and (if you sign in) your sign-in token. This stays on your device and is not sent to us, apart from the sign-in token, which proves it’s you.
Other things on these pages
- Phoenix, the AI helper in the corner, comes from phoenix.neurohubcommunity.org. What you type to Phoenix is handled as described in Phoenix’s privacy notice. This site never sees your conversation.
- Ko-fi: the “Support Us” button on the public pages loads from Ko-fi. It is not shown on the members or account pages.
- WhatsApp: if you message us for help, WhatsApp’s privacy policy applies to that chat, and we see your number and what you send.
- Hosting: the site runs on Netlify, which keeps short-lived technical logs (such as internet addresses) to keep the service running and secure.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing enquiries@neurohubcommunity.org. Because we don’t store email addresses, we may ask you to sign in, or to tell us the email you signed in with, so we can find your account. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
